Publishes his first book Beyond Flavours.
2003 Creates the world’s first edible landscape: The Enchanted Forest.
Earns the first Michelin star for Quique Dacosta Restaurante.
2005 Wins the National Gastronomy Award. Food & Wine names QDR one of the ten most interesting restaurants in the world.
Introduces new techniques: mineralization (Guggenheim Oyster), edible papers, veils, and stevia.
Publishes Contemporary Rice Dishes.
2006 Awarded a second Michelin star.
2009 Becomes sole owner of Quique Dacosta Restaurante.
2010 Begins his “solo” venture as a gastronomic entrepreneur.
Opens Mercatbar and Vuelve Carolina in Valencia.
2011 We receive the National Gastronomy Award for Innovation and Design.
2012 Sommelier José Antonio Navarrete receives the National Award for Best Sommelier from the Royal Academy of Gastronomy.
The restaurant earns its third Michelin star.
2013 Quique Dacosta is named Doctor Honoris Causa in Fine Arts by Miguel Hernández University.
Opens El Poblet in Valencia.
2015 The MUVIM museum exhibits Transformed Landscapes, showcasing Dacosta’s creative processes.
Publishes the book 3.
2016 Publishes De Tapas con Quique Dacosta.
2019 Opens his first restaurant outside Spain: ArrosQD in London.
Premieres the documentary Cooking Beauty at the San Sebastián Film Festival. El Poblet receives its second Michelin star.
Launches the series A Life, A Dinner on Amazon Prime.
2020 Receives the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts, awarded by the King and Queen of Spain and the Ministry of Culture.
2021 Becomes the creator and culinary director of the RITZ Madrid, in partnership with Mandarin Oriental.
2022 Deessa, at Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, is awarded its second Michelin star.
2023 Publishes The Red Prawn Book.
2024 Quique Dacosta Restaurante is ranked #14 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Launches his second international project in collaboration with Royal Mansour in Tamuda Bay, Morocco.
